A Quick Release – riding in the French Pyrenees

We’ve been riding with AQR in Luchon for about 5 years now.

Kate Potter has raced at world cup level and Ian, as well as being a skilled rider, is an experienced coach and a good enough mechanic to support the Australian WC team.  You won’t get an easy ride but expect to get some great tips on technique and bike fit – Ian knows his stuff.

TdF Luchon

Luchon has great mountain biking and their trips are keenly priced. AQR specialise in “XC Challenge” – big climbs and big descents, but lift assisted riding also available.  Luchon is also surrounded by some fantastic road riding so we take road bikes as well to bag a few Cols while we’re there. The highlight of our trips to Luchon was joining AQR’s TdF week in 2012 – an off road ride to the top of the Col de Peyresourde to watch the race finish was followed by a day on our road bikes riding some of the Tour route before the riders.  Highly recommended.
